BREAST ADVICE FOR LUMPS ~ 90% of Breast Conditions are Not Cancer

Posted on May 28, 2020 at 10:10 PM Comments comments (0)

90% of Breast Health problems are benign - not Cancer.

Abnormalities may include:

CYSTS

  • They are NOT related to breast cancer.
  • About 60% of women will have at least one cyst during their lifetime.
  • Cysts are collections of fluids in breast tissue.
  • They are usually small and do not cause problems, but may increase in size, form a
  • lump, or cause pain or tenderness.
  • Cysts occur most commonly between the ages of 35 and 50 years and especially
  • between 42 and 48 years.
  • They are uncommon after menopause except in women on Hormone Replacement
  • Therapy.

HORMONAL THICKENING

  • Hormonal thickening is NOT related to the development of breast cancer.
  • This can occur at any age during the reproductive years and may come and go.
  • It is a response to hormone changes and is often related to pre-menopausal breast
  • tenderness. It usually disappears naturally after menopause.
  • Further diagnosis can be made with a combination of breast examination,
  • mammography, ultrasound and needle biopsy.
  • No treatment is necessary unless there is pain.

FIBROADENOMA

  • They are not related to breast cancer but do need to be accurately diagnosed. This
  • can usually be done by needle biopsy
  • These are very common nodules in the breast and are commonly benign.
  • They are common in young women (under 25) but can occur at any age. They
  • appear as oval, tender masses and may not be able to be felt as lumps.
  • Many women have more than one.
  • Diagnosis is usually made by ultrasound, needle biopsy and mammography (in
  • older women).
  • They may be removed by surgery but this is not essential.

NIPPLE DISCHARGE

  • Most nipple discharges are harmless - particularly if the discharge comes from more
  • than one duct and from both nipples.
  • If the discharge is bloodstained or watery it is important to see your Doctor.
  • These discharges are due to the production of fluid by normal breast cells in
  • response to hormones.

Understanding the role of DITI* in breast screening.

Posted on May 28, 2020 at 10:05 PM Comments comments (0)

(*Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging)

The benefits of DITI do vary between age and risk groups.

With the pre mammogram age group (under 50) the benefits of screening to detect any findings

or changes that justify additional testing or closer monitoring are simple. With any positive DITI

findings in this younger age group, any mammogram and ultrasound sensitivity and specificity will

be increased with the objective DITI findings targeting a dysfunction and location and providing

decision making information in women that would not have otherwise been tested.

It takes years for most cancers to develop to the stage that they can be detected with

mammogram or ultrasound (dense enough for location and biopsy) so DITI is ideally placed as a

screening tool to identify changes over time in the 'early' development stages, before there is

more advanced pathology that can be detected with other tests.

The major benefit in this group is in detecting early changes that precede malignant pathology

that will become diagnosable at some stage.

Early detection is aimed at prevention and if early changes are detected then we have an

opportunity to intervene and change the outcome.

The earlier an abnormality is detected the better the treatment options will be, resulting in a better

outcome.

Prevention may include treatment of inflammation, fibrocystic disease, lymph congestion,

estrogen dominance and more specific conditions like angiogenesis.

DITI does not provide any of the same findings or information that mammogram or ultrasound

provides, it is a different type of test. DITI shows information relating to vascular activity,

inflammation, lymphatic activity, hormonal dysfunction and other 'functional' abnormalities.

There are no contraindications for DITI, it is totally non-invasive, no radiation of any type, no

contact with the body so it can ‘do no harm’.

Mammogram and ultrasound shows 'structure', tissue densities can be evaluated, lumps can be

measured, calcifications located and opinions given regarding pathology before biopsy ..... none

of which DITI can provide.

There is no comparison or competition between mammogram and DITI. They are two different

tests providing different results !

The results are reported by medical doctors who are certified thermologists and experienced in

reading thermograms, the reading doctor takes into consideration all history and symptoms and

the results of other tests.

In patients of mammographic age (generally over 50), post menopause or when the density of

breast tissue has reduced sufficiently to make mammography more affective, DITI not only

provides the benefit of early detection of functional change but can also increase the detection

rates of other tests by contributing additional information about functional (physiological)

abnormality and also the location of suspicious (positive) thermal findings that may be outside the

range of other tests due to location, size of breast, implant, or other limiting factors .

DITI as a screening test in all age groups is designed to establish a baseline (the patients normal

thermal fingerprint) for ongoing comparative analysis (normally annual) to detect any

physiological change that justifies additional testing (which could be physician exam,

mammogram, ultrasound, MRI, blood work, hormone testing or a number of other interventions).

The changes that DITI can detect include, inflammatory pathology (inflammatory carcinoma /

inflammatory breast disease) Infection, Lymph dysfunction (lymph congestion, lymph node

pathology) Vascular changes (development of new and abnormal blood vessels known as

'angiogenesis') and also any suspicious activity outside the range or scope of other tests (outside

the boarder of the breast, in the sternum or axilla) so again, there is no comparison or competition

between different tests.

DITI cannot detect specific pathology like a biopsy, it cannot detect tumors or micro-calcifications.

DITI cannot ‘see’ structure.

DITI does have the potential to create anxiety for a patient (as does mammogram) with equivocal

results or results that cannot be confirmed or positively diagnosed but both tests can minimize

unnecessary anxiety with better informed consent, education and realistic expectation for the test.

The best possible plan is to use every appropriate test adjunctively to get the highest detection

rates without generating additional or unnecessary invasive testing.

It would be unfortunate for a patient to forgo a necessary mammogram that was justified, and any

decision should be made with consultation between the patient and her doctors based on

individual history, symptoms and test results.

Biopuncture ~ Injection Therapy at Agape Healing Arts

Posted on May 28, 2020 at 1:10 PM Comments comments (0)

Did you know that pain is one of the top 3 reasons for a patient to visit their doctor?

The lack of effectiveness, as well as numerous, often serious, side effects of conventional treatments for chronic pain (medications, cortisone shots or surgery) are primary reasons that 40 million Americans look for a Holistic Physician to help them find relief from pain.

Biopuncture is an ideal therapy to relieve chronic pain and for shifting disease states towards healthier patterns that support healing.

What is Biopuncture?

Biopuncture is a type of Injection therapy that has been around for decades. In Florida, Doctors of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physicians with extra training and certification can offer this incredible medicine to their patients. BioPuncture uses Homeopath remedies and natural substances into certain strategic places in the body.  These substances can be targeted near an injury site or can be used in the already potent acupuncture points .They can also be used to help heal old scars by unblocking stagnant energy and cosmetically to reduce stubborn creases and wrinkles! The best results occur when the patient can combine Biopuncture with good nutrition and integrative therapy.

What conditions are typically treated with Biopuncture?

The common factor is pain and inflammation, be that in a soft tissue or joint or in the lining of the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract.  Each of these tissues has nerves that become chronically inflamed and cells that secrete chemicals that initiate and maintain pain and inflammation.

Here is a brief list of issues that can be treated with Biopuncture Injection Therapy:

Pain (acute and chronic)

Trauma/PTSD

Swelling

Inflammation (any diagnosis that ends with “itis” like arthritis, colitis, sinusitis, etc.)

Depression

Immune system deficiency

Toxic load

Viral Infections

Respiratory infections (acute or chronic)

Low energy/chronic fatigue

Scarring

Allergies

Addiction recovery

Lymphedema

Recurring Strep Infections

And others!

What are the most common injectable formulas used?

Homeopathic formulas, B12 vitamin, saline, glucose, and analgesics. These treatments are cutting edge for the healing of old patterns and injuries and restoring energy and vibrancy! The most common products used in sports medicine and pain practices are Traumeel®, Lymphomyosot®, Spascupreel® and Zeel®.

Traumeel is used to reduce pain and swelling. Traumeel has arnica montana to reduce swelling, comfrey to decrease joint pain, chamomile and St. John’s Wort to reduce pain, and calendula (marigold) and echinacea to stimulate the immune system. The product which is best researched and most widely used in oral, topical and injectable forms is Traumeel.

Lymphomyosot is used for lymphatic drainage and detoxification. It supports the liver in moving toxins out of the body. It strengthens sensitive constitutions, reduces allergies, helps heal and re-energize after chronic illness, and especially for people in recovery from addiction. Sinusitis, tonsilitis, lymphedema, as well as inflammatory or infectious conditions of the upper respiratory tract have also been shown to be greatly impacted by this formula.

Zeel is used for arthritis.

Spascupreel is used for muscle spasm.

Engystol is an immunomodulator that can be used like a flu vaccine and to help prevent and treat viral infections. It has been scientifically proven to significantly reduce the duration and severity of symptoms during an acute viral infection and help protect from subsequent infections.

B12 vitamin (methylcobalamin) is crucial for our brain, nerves, and blood cells to function properly! Mood, memory, allergies, insomnia, you name it – so many components of our being can be enhanced by B12.

Homeopathic collagen is most often the substance chosen to help with the cosmetic side of injection therapy. It can also help reduce scarring and tissue damage after trauma, surgery, etc.

Saline injection near an inflamed or chronic injury site can help to bring hydration into the tissues, calm inflammation, and help with circulation, range of motion and quicker healing response.

Here at Agape Healing Arts we offer holistic healing and Integrative therapies which include: Acupuncture, Biopuncture Injection Therapy, an array of Therapeutic Massage and Body Work, Herbal Medicines, Tai Chi, Qigong, Meditation, Breath Work and dietary/food therapy. In conjunction, all of these therapies improve the body’s ability to reduce inflammation and heal naturally.

Breathing in the Autumn Equinox

Posted on September 24, 2018 at 12:55 AM Comments comments (4)

The Autumn Equinox is a meaningful time of year to honor the harvest. This harvest can be physical or symbolic in nature. It is time to celebrate the harvest of efforts and intentions you planted for yourself earlier in the year. Spiritually speaking, fall is a time to acknowledge our own inner abundance as our birth rite and natural state of being.

The changing seasons are key points in the cycles of life that we see in nature. Many Indigenous cultures perceive a powerful hidden message for humanity within these natural cycles. Their wisdom was based on the earth and watching nature. They understood how to honor and live in harmony with all of the seasons of the year.

We too can learn from these cultures that honor the earth as Mother. They all offer the same concept, an illuminated state of inner awareness. They saw the turning of the seasons as milestones on our spiritual journey through life. With every change of season it is also an inner spiritual cycle that we individually and collectively take as humanity.

Let us be intentional with our lives and consciously link our awareness to nature's cycles. This brings us a deeper understanding of our own inner cycles.

Have you been hearing your own inner desires and dreams?

Sometimes its hard to hear with all the clutter and chaos on the outside. This is why it is important to set time to be still, to breath with intention and to listen to our hearts. It is ok to tell your mind to take a break so you can hear the stirrings of your own heart and to open yourself up to receive all your good.

A personal breath practice will open up your path of self discovery and move you forward to your own awakening. Through the breath, we learn to explore our inner landscape. Breathing with purpose is one of the key qualities of living a truly expressed and fulfilled life. When you learn to breathe deeply and explore your inner landscape, you uncover your true power & gifts and are able to find meaning in life.

Coming home to your breath is the best thing you can do for yourself. The breath is our connection with Source and our own truth. By returning to your breath you are able to remember who you truly are. All past "failures" make sense and you are free to just be you... beautiful you. Its time to come home and to believe in yourself again. This is your moment to become powerful beyond belief!

I encourage you to set aside some time to come and breath with intention on https://www.agapehealingarts.com/workshops" target="_blank">Sunday, September 23, 2018. Acknowledge and honor your life cycle and spiritual path. In doing so, you are honoring, not only your own growth and light within, but the ancient wisdom that has served our health and wellness for thousands of years.

On this Fall Equinox, may you be blessed and take the time to honor your own inner abundance. May all that is within your consciousness shift from one of lack to one of abundance. Take the time for ritual in your life and bring back the sacred. Such as lighting a candle, burning some copal or sage, breathing deeply with intention, saying a prayer, filling your heart with love and gratitude for all that you are and all that you have.

With Love and Gratitude,

Yours in Health and Harmony,

Dr. Bella

Stomach/Spleen Health

Posted on May 1, 2018 at 6:05 PM Comments comments (2)

Stomach/Spleen Health

What does it really mean to take care of your Stomach/Spleen health?

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Stomach and its partner the Spleen, is most affected by chronic worry, anxiety, or overthinking. The Stomach is responsible not only for digesting food and drink, but also for digesting your emotions and thoughts, keeping what nurtures your spirit and letting go of what doesn’t!

The Stomach/Spleen element is Earth. Just as Mother Earth’s job is to nurture growth and all living creatures, Stomach Qi is what “feeds” all the organs enough power to perform their jobs. The spleen is also associated with the color yellow and the emotions of worry, overthinking or anxiety. The taste associated with the spleen is sweet. When our spleen becomes depleted from worry or not functioning properly due to an unhealthy diet we feel run down or develop fatigue, which may eventually manifest as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia or autoimmune disease.

In allopathic medicine, the spleen is actually a lymph gland that stores white blood cells to support our immune system and the pancreas is an endocrine gland which regulates insulin to break down sugars or glucose into energy readily available to your body. If you have a 'sweet tooth' that is a sign of imbalance in the stomach and spleen channel. The antidote to cravings of sweet are to take bitters, such as Jackass Bitters. Many older cultures say 'bitters are better' and they take their bitter tonics on a daily basis to keep the stomach and spleen in check and balanced.

JACKASS BITTERS ~

Jackass bitters is a common yellow flowering herb that grows throughout Central America and the Caribbean. The entire plant is a highly respected medicinal used to treat a variety of ailments including the following: intestinal parasites, colds, flus, infections, skin ulcers and stubborn sores, vaginitis, adult-onset diabetes, candida, fungus, ringworm, amoebas and malaria. If you are interested, you can get a bottle of Jackass Bitters at Agape Healing arts.

BALANCE THE EARTH ELEMENT WITHIN ~

So let us focus on how we can balance our earth element within our bodies and help ourselves reclaim our natural state of health. We can take our 'bitters' every day as a tonic. We can spend more time connecting with Mother Nature by gardening, walking barefoot or laying down to relax at the beach. Sitting and moving meditation is medicine for our body-mind. Mindfulness practices such as MBSR (Mindfulness based Stress Reduction), Centering Prayer, contemplation, Tai Chi and Qi Gong are the antidote to our modern day busy monkey minds.

Simple Tips for Everyday Stomach/Spleen Health:

1. MEDITATE DAILY

We must learn to become the master of our own minds.   Meditation is a tool to help us achieve that.

2. EAT GOD'S FOOD (CLOSE TO NATURE)

You are what you eat. So eat healthy, clean, organic and non-GMO foods focusing on live foods, such as fruits and vegetables, avoiding empty caloric intake of processed foods, to enjoy a more healthy balanced life filled with high energy and plenty of vitality.

3. SING ~ SMILE ~ FEEL JOY IN YOUR HEART

Get in the habit of singing or whistling “Don’t Worry Be Happy" Bobby McFerrin, while you work. Joy is a very high vibration and will alleviate low vibrations such as worry, anxiety, pain and fear.

4. HONOR THE FEMININE PRINCIPLE

Reclaiming the Divine Mother/Feminine principle. Connect to the Earth. Mother Nature serves as our greatest healer. Honoring Nature is honoring our Mother.

5. TAKE YOUR BITTERS

Bitter herbs or food will help you cleanse your blood and keep your stomach and spleen healthy and balanced.

Yoni/Root Steaming and Women's Wellness

Yoni/Root Steaming and Women’s Wellness

"There is wisdom worth exploring in practices that have been passed down for centuries."

~Rosita Arvigo

There is a buzz around Women’s Wellness and its around the ancient art of Vaginal steaming. By no means is this a new healing modality. Quite the opposite. It is ancient in its roots and most cultures around the world have practiced this natural form of healing at some point in history and still do today. In the Mayan Healing tradition that I practice, it is called “bajos”. Bajos means “low” in Spanish, and often refer to geographical regions known as “lowlands.” Today it has become a holistic health practice for women in the Western world. It is known for its healing properties for many ailments concerning the reproductive system, healthy menstruation and fertility.

Vaginal steaming, sometimes called V-steam or Yoni steam (“Yoni” is a Sanskrit word that means sacred space, vulva, vagina & womb), is a holistic healing practice whereby a woman squats or sits over steaming water containing a combination of healing herbs. This ancient medicine is still alive and practiced today in America and abroad in many Asian, Latin American, African and indigenous cultures around the world. They utilize the wisdom of the plants and use herbal formulas as internal remedies and external washes and steam baths to maintain vaginal health. Yoni Steams are a safe, non-invasive method for fighting infections, clearing hemorrhoids, regulating menstrual cycles and increasing fertility.

A famous supporter of Vaginal Steaming is actress, Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth is a supporter of all thing holistic and began her own practice of vaginal steaming after a visit to a Korean Spa called Tikkun Holistic Spa in Los Angeles. In writing about her V-Steam experience for Goop, she said: "You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al.... It is an energetic release, not just a steam douche, that balances female hormone levels.” After Gwyneth blogged about her experience with Yoni steaming, it instantly sparked a fire! We have to give her credit for bringing it back to the lime light and to main stream awareness. Thank you Gwyneth!

I heard about this practice back in 2002 from a friend when I was in Acupuncture school. She told me that I should look into it as it would be beneficial for me in my Midwifery Practice. But it wasn’t until 2011 when I met my soon to be husband who kindly invited me to join him for a weekend Self-Care workshop Level 1 training of The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy that I began my own practice. It was then that I found my medicine and my teacher, Dr. Rosita Arvigo. I immediately felt a connection as if I came home.

It is thanks to Dr. Arvigo, that the world began to rediscover vaginal steaming as an effective self-care practice, one of the complementary modalities of health and wellness that is indigenous to Mayan Healing. Dr. Arvigo learned the basis from which these techniques were developed from her mentor, Don Elijio Panti, the great Maya Shaman of Belize, Central America with whom she apprenticed for ten years. Don Elijio believed that a woman's center is her uterus. "If a woman's uterus is out of balance, so is she," he would say. So I give a big “THANK YOU” to Dr. Rosita for bringing this wisdom back from our ancestors and sharing it with the modern western world.

Today, Yoni Steaming is being utelized more and more as an effective self care tool.  It works by stimulating your body’s own natural healing abilities. It is used for medicinal purposes, mostly in the enhancement of female pelvic, uterine and sexual health and wellness. This natural and non-invasive treatment can be used for physical, emotional and spiritual healing.  Used in conjunction with Arvigo Maya Abdominal Therapy, the yoni/root steam bath helps cleanse the uterus and pelvis of blood congestion and stagnation, relaxes the pelvic floor muscles, and is an effective treatment for many uterine and pelvic conditions. The healing combination of heat from the steam and medicinal properties of the plants aids as a deeply cleansing uterine lavage. The medicinal steam penetrates into the tissues, softening the cervix to dislodge and release indurated menstrual fluids and pathological accumulations that have not properly released with each monthly cycle. In addition, the steam bath softens and nourishes internal membranes and increases blood flow, to allow for a healthier environment to the pelvic region.

For me, Yoni/Root steaming is so much more than a physical act.  It is a spiritual ritual, a ceremony.  I have found that when we take the time to go past the physical, we reach the emotional & spiritual levels of healing.  Yoni/Root Steaming affords us that time to just be.  It is a sacred space, a time "out of time".  A dream space.   It allows us as women the opportunity to reconnect to the ancestral wisdom of the womb.  When we consciously choose to take the time for self~love and self~care in this way we can turn our attention inward.  We are then able to release any stored emotions, pain, tension or anxiety that we may be carrying.  It gives us access to our own feminine energy that opens us to our own beauty and creative potential as a powerful women.

As you sit and steam, you may find that all your tension melts away and you return to a state of bliss ~ Your Birth~Rite!

I offer you to come and steam at Agape Healing Arts or to begin your own self care routine at home. It is time to experience this ancient tradition to celebrate the woman that you are. May we all return to the power of our womb. The power of creation.

Placenta as Medicine

Posted on April 14, 2018 at 2:20 PM Comments comments (1)

PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION with BELLABIRTHING ~ VIP BIRTH

Placenta is good medicine and has fondly come to be known as "THE HAPPY PILL."

A natural and powerful healing tool that Traditional Chinese Medicine suggests is placenta encapsulation.  The placenta has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for many generations.  Li Shizhen first wrote about placenta as a medicine in the 1500’s when he compiled the first Materia Medica on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dried placenta has been used widely ever since for many different symptoms.  In Chinese it is called, zi he che. The Parmaceutical name is, Placenta Hominis.  And in plain English we call it, human placenta.  I call it good medicine. The Literal English translation is “purple liver vehicle”  and according to TCM the channels it enters are the Liver, Lungs and Kidney.

Placenta tonifys and strengthens the vital force of those who ingest it.  In nature, every single animal is programed with an innate knowing to eat its placenta because they know it is good for them and they heal much faster.  It restores the warmth the body and womb that has been lost following birth, and therefore assisting in speedy recovery and harmonizing the bodys ballance. This fine balance helps with our immune system. It is believed that our body’s natural immunity, known as wei chi, is reduced post birth and is thought to be restored by ingesting placenta as medicine.

The placenta contains nutrient rich medicine that reharmonizes the overall Qi of the body.   Encapsulation is a process in which the placenta is steamed, dehydrated, blended into coarse powder and put into small capsules.   As the placenta contains massive amounts of crucial hormones and iron that leave the body once the placenta is born, consuming the placenta in any form can help new mothers maintain their hormone and iron levels in the few weeks after the birth.  Heat is infused into the placenta through the use of a combonation of warming chinese herbs, lemon, ginger and chilli. Chilli itself is warming, lemon being a grounding remedy, which alongside ginger aids in circulation and the distribution of healing properties throughout the body.  Women have reported feeling a calming effect after ingestion, less baby blues and postpartum depression.  Men have reported that their wives are more "happy" after taking thier placenta medicine.  Thats why is has been come to be know as "the happy pill" by many who have felt and witnessed its healing and calming effects.

Encapsulating and consuming the placenta has a number of postpartum healing benefits for the mother:

  • Decreases the likelihood of postpartum depression
  • Increases and enriches breast milk production
  • Decreases the incidence of iron deficiency
  • Replenishes essential hormones such which results in a calmer mother
  • Makes her happy and feel really good!

Ok so now you have the history and some good facts.
Now what?   Ask yourself,  why would I want to ingest my placenta?

WHAT IS IN MY PLACENTA that is so good for me?

Take a look at the following list:

  • Gonadotrophin is the precursor to estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.
  • Prolactin is the hormone involved in stimulating milk production and enhances maternal instinct.
  • Oxytocin is the love hormone that promotes feelings of love and maternal bonding between mother and baby. It also decreases pain, helps the uterus to return to the normal size while reducing postpartum bleeding, counteracts the production of stress hormones such as cortisol and enhances the let-down reflex.
  • Prostaglandins are anti-inflammatory hormones that regulate the uterine contractions after birth and help the uterus to return it its pre-pregnancy size.
  • Placental Opioid-Enhancing Factor (POEF) stimulates the production of your body’s natural opioids, including endorphins, and it reduces pain and increases well being.
  • Interferon & Gammaglobulin both stimulate the immune system to protect against infection.
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone regulates the thyroid gland, boosting and balancing metabolism and energy levels.
  • Cortisone combats stress and unlocks energy stores in the body.
  • Iron replenishes maternal iron stores to help combat anaemia or postnatal iron deficiency. It also decreases fatigue and depression.
  • Haemoglobin is the oxygen-carrying molecule vital to energy in the body and clarity in the mind. It is also supportive to the immune system.
  • Human Placental Lactogen (hPL) has lactogenic and growth-promoting properties. It promotes mammary gland growth in preparation for breastfeeding and regulates maternal glucose, protein and fat levels.
  • Urokinase Inhibiting Factor & Factor XIII reduce bleeding and enhance wound healing.

Amazing right?

If you decide to say yes and encapsulate your placenta you will now have a few choices.

Here are the different options that are availabel to you.

DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR CONSUMING YOUR PLACENTA

Placenta Capsules

  • This method usually produces around 100-175 capsules, depending on the size of your placenta.
  • Capsules last many years when stored in the freezer. Take them for PMS, low milk supply, fertility challenges, and even menopause!
  • Capsules should be taken with a glass of juice and a meal to help the powder settle and reconstitute in your stomach.

Placenta Tincture

  • Placenta tincture is an added bonus in that it can be used in addition to and long after the capsules are gone. By tincturing a small piece of the placenta in a high grade alcohol, you can prolong the benefits of your placental hormones. The tincture can be used in any time of trauma, transition, emotional distress and during menopause and ease your symptoms.
  • The tincture is allowed to sit for at least six – eight weeks before use. It is very shelf-stable if kept in a cool dark place such as a cupboard, and will last for many, many years.

Placenta Salve

  • Your own superfine placenta powder is infused into a high quality salve base, with or without your choice of essential oils. We use a luxurious organic base as our carrier because it is non-sensitizing, good smelling, food based, and can penetrate deep under the surface of the skin. The Salve base is made of: Organic shea butter, organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, and vitamin E.
  • Placenta has long been used in skincare for its healing and restorative properties. There are a number of expensive anti-aging lotions and creams containing “sheep placenta extract” as the secret ingredient. Spring Cleaning for Body, Mind & Spirit

With spring in full swing, it’s time to embrace this glorious season!

For half of the planet, spring is in the air. I certainly feel the stirring of new growth and possibility within me. I hope you do too!

At this time of year many of us feel the urge to "spring clean" our homes and our closets because we know it feels so good to declutter and refresh our environment. Something about this season evokes the need to make changes – to lighten up, to slow down and enjoy life.

Why not embrace these natural inclinations and apply them to our health?

Have you considered spring cleaning for Body, Mind and Spirit?

Your body is the only place you have to live on this earth. If you don't take care of it you will have to leave this beautiful planet. Its your earth-suit, your body temple. Thats what I fondly call my body, as it is my true home here on earth. And what about spring cleaning our minds? Are you ready to declutter unnecessary stress and troublesome thoughts and feelings? What about our Spirits? They should be free to soar like a bird, light and free. Is there anything that is weighing you down energetically? If so, this weight can make you feel "heavy" and take your vital life force from you. Its hard to carry around unprocessed emotions.

Let’s take a look at three simple tips to spring clean our lives;

physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

1. Bring in the sunshine and keep healthy levels of Vitamin D.

Our body naturally makes vitamin D when our skin is exposed to the sun. Best and safest time to get sun exposure is in morning or late afternoon. Avoid the sun during its hottest times from 12-3pm.

2. Take deep connected and conscious breaths.

I encourage you to begin your own daily personal breath practice or by joining us at a Transformational Breath Workshop here at Agape once a month. Breathing deeply and properly will help oxygenate your blood, boost your mood, clean out your arteries and strengthen your heart. On the emotional and mental level integration happens as we physically open our breath and any blockages of repressed emotions are freed to be released and integrated. All of the emotional clutter inside your mind and body can be easily cleared.

3. Eat foods that are alive with vital life force and that contain the colors of the rainbow.

One of the best ways to improve your overall diet is to eat fresh living foods and to simply focus on adding a lot of color to your meals. With spring comes a fresh variety of produce that is bursting with flavor and nutrition. Our food is our medicine. Treat it as such. Traditional Chinese Medicine has a philosophy that helps you to stay healthy with the seasons. Eat foods that naturally grow in the season you are in. Also it is good to do a detox, cleanse or fast with every change of season so you stay healthy.

Our special promotion for the month of APRIL is BOGO for you and your friend to come and experience an integrative healing session or a Transformational Breath® Workshop. Whatever you are experiencing at this time we can help you to heal or enhance your health and wellness.

We look forward to working with you for your highest healing!

With Love and Gratitude for you,

Transformational Breath® for Body Mind & Spirit

Would you like to experience a Healthy Body, a Peaceful Mind and a Joyful Heart?

If you said" YES", then it’s time to begin a practice of Transformational Breath®.

Breath is Life.  More than food and water, our breath is most important to our livelihood.  Every breath we take is a gift.  As we open up and connect with our breath, the same measure opens up in our lives.  This is the gift that we receive though the practice of Transformational Breath®.  The gift of joy, peace and fullness of life.

Transformational Breath® is a powerful holistic healing system that is able to reach all levels of our being; body, mind and spirit. It teaches us how to take a full conscious and connected breath. This type of breath work is so powerful, for as we begin to breath fully with our diaphragm, our breath goes deeply into our body so we can experience the healing we have been looking for.   There are many benefits through practicing Transformational Breath®. These benefits include improve physical health, cleared emotional pain, enhanced mental clarity and a stronger connection to self and spirit.

We breath in and we breath out. This continues over and over again all day, every day. The average person takes 16 breaths per minute, which means we take around 960 breaths an hour; 23,040 breathes a day and 8,409,600 a year. This is our life, measured by Breath.  We are not taught in school how to breath. It’s an automatic process our bodies do for us since our first breath, but does that mean we are doing it correctly? Most offent times the anser is no.  We are not taking in enough air.  We are holiding our breaths in many stressfull situations.  Have you ever caught yourself holding your breath?  This happens when we are feeling negative emotions.  Thankfully we have an autonomic nervous system that regulates our breathing without our conscious effort. But how many of us take the time to sit and breath consciously with all of our awareness?

The first level of Transformational Breath® is Physical. Breath connects us to life. We all breath, right? Since our first breath, as we entered the world, we have been breathing.n   In reality, most of us are only using around 20-30% of our lung capacity. We are not taking full diaphragmatic breaths. We don’t really give our breathing much thought unless we begin to have respiratory issues such as asthma, emphysema or other life threatening respiratory disorders.Transformational Breath® educates us on an individual basis on how to breath properly and more fully with our diaphragm, which is the muscle of respiration. It is important to learn how to have a full connected and relaxed breath. This simple and natural way of breathing fully will give you many health benefits such as increased oxygenation throughout your body, improved energy levels, stimulates circulation and detoxification, balances the five systems of flow (arterial, venous, nerve, lymph and Qi) throughout the body which will improve the functioning of many of your internal organs.

The second level of Transformational Breath® is Emotional and Mental. Your breath is a practical and easy tool that is always with you. The breath will help you to explore emotional holdings that create physical stress, pain and disease. Breathing deeply creates the space for our unresolved emotional issues to be resolved permanently.  Have you ever heard of the saying that “our issues are in our tissues?” What this means is that we store our emotions in our bodies. In cognitive talk therapy you can talk about your issues for years without any resolve as you are not getting into the emotions that are stored deep in your body tissue. The breath takes you there. It has been said that one breath session is like two years of talk therapy. That’s how efficient your own breath is for deep emotional and mental healing.

In Quantum physics there is a law called “the law of entrainment”. The high vibration of your breath which is essentially life force energy or Qi will naturally go into the areas of lower vibration in the body to raise the frequency. With the Breath, any unresolved emotions that are causing pain and suffering will naturally be raised to a higher frequency and will be integrated once and for all. It is so important to release sadness, anger or fear in our tissues. If we don’t they cause stagnation in our body and continues to create more pain and disharmony in our lives. Pain is a sign that something is out of balance, so listen to your body as pain is your body’s way of getting your attention.

On the emotional and mental level integration happens as we physically open our breath and any blockages of repressed emotions are freed to be released and integrated. All of the emotional clutter inside your mind and body can be easily cleared. You will be free to stop reacting to the world around you and take control of your life so you will be able to manifest the perfect life you have always dreamed of!

The third level of Transformational Breath® is Spiritual. A full connected breath creates a space within you so you can connect more deeply with your own inner beliefs and values. You will be free to live in the present moment and be all that you are meant to be. As your internal vibration begins to elevate you will experience the frequency of love and your life will reflect that with an over all sense of well being. You will be in the flow of life as your life is a reflection of your open and connected breath.  Let’s breath in all our good so we can live a life of balance and harmony. It is time!

May we all aspire to our highest healing through our own Breath.

May we all experience our best selves through a Healthy body, Peaceful mind and Joyful heart! ❤️ .
