Deep in the body runs a hidden thread of power, a nerve that has carried, for centuries, the weight of shame.
Anatomists once named it the pudendal nerve. In Latin, pudenda means “parts to be ashamed of.” This was not biology alone but culture inscribed into science, a worldview that taught women to hide, silence, or disconnect from the very seat of their life-giving power.
But this story is changing.
We are remembering.
We are reclaiming.
We are renaming.
At Agape Healing Arts, we call it the Portal Nerve. Because that is what it truly is.
The Channel of Life
This powerful nerve innervates the yoni, vulva, perineum, rectum, and pelvic floor, the very structures that:
bring life into the world,
release what no longer serves,
awaken pleasure, vitality, and rooted sovereignty.
It is the bridge between body and spirit, the channel through which sensation, creation, and remembrance flow.
The Portal Nerve is not about shame.
It is about life.
It is about power.
It is about the sacred intelligence of your body.
A Messenger of the Sacred
The Portal Nerve carries the wisdom of the womb to the brain and back again. It remembers birth and ecstasy, grief and healing. It whispers the ancient rhythm of your ancestors. It responds to tenderness as much as to trauma. It is primal, sensual, and intelligent.
And it is time to call it by a name that reflects its truth. Because when we name something sacred, we begin to heal it.
A Living Practice
Place your hands gently over your womb space. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Feel the quiet pulse that lives there. This is not something to be hidden. This is not something to be ashamed of. This is your portal. Your power. Your way home.
Let us speak this truth in our healing sessions, our ceremonies, and our daily lives. Let us teach our daughters the real name of their power. Let us honor the Portal Nerve as the channel of life, pleasure, and transformation it has always been.
Join the Reclamation
At Agape Healing Arts, we are devoted to remembering what was forgotten and renaming what has always been holy. Through sacred womb healing, pelvic care, and embodiment practices, we honor the body as a portal, not of shame, but of sovereignty.
Join us in this remembrance, at one of our workshops, in your own daily practice, or simply by speaking the truth of your body. The Portal is alive in you, waiting to be honored.
